From its founding, Pitcher has believed that an intuitive technology is critical to increase the effectiveness of commercial operations and customer excellence.
When Apple released the iPad, Pitcher founder and CEO Mert Yentur had already established himself in the software industry as the first developer to release an application on the European App Store and as the developer behind a number of other applications, including the first augmented reality (AR) app.
By 2010, Mert was fielding a number of requests from enterprises in the life sciences, financial services, manufacturing, and consumer packaged goods (CPG) industries as they all sought to learn more about the new tablet-based channel and how it could impact business. In response to these inquiries, Mert and Alexandra created Pitcher in 2011.
While the requirements for sales, field, and marketing teams were quite different depending on specific markets, the primary need across all was the same: making the life of sales reps easier. Pitcher was created to replace anachronistic and inefficient sales processes with an iPad-based Super App that was simple to use and generated instant value during customer interactions.

Pitcher's first client was Swiss-based multinational pharmaceutical company IBSA Group, who celebrated ten years with Pitcher in 2021. After rolling out the Super App in life sciences and developing vertical expertise, customers like Pfizer, Novartis, and others also joined the company's roster. Building on the success of life sciences, Pitcher expanded next to CPG with Ferrero and Coca Cola, then manufacturing with ExxonMobile and Michelin, and financial services with Principal Financial Group.
Today, Pitcher serves as a vital partner for sales, field sales, and marketers around the world. Deployed in over 140 countries, Fortune 500 companies across the life sciences, CPG, manufacturing, and financial services industries use Pitcher to drive customer engagement and commercial excellence.
