Pitcher was founded in 2011, just after the first iPad was launched by Apple.
The iPad was a revolution for mobile devices which opened up unexpected possibilities. The impact that the iPad would have on the business world was unprecedented; all of a sudden, remote business was becoming a reality. Digital adoption for business operations accelerated rapidly thanks to its user-friendly nature.
Mert Yentur is the founder and CEO of Pitcher. With over 20 years of experience as a computer engineer and 10 years' experience in mobile innovation, Mert combines deep technical expertise with a vision of modernizing the sales process.
Mert founded Pitcher after developing and releasing the first application available on the Apple App Store in Europe, and anticipating the transformational potential that mobile technology held for enterprise operations. After the first release of the iPad in 2010, Mert directed his deep technical expertise toward creating a tablet-based SaaS platform for enterprise sales reps that could be continuously updated and innovated to meet ever-changing needs across the sales rep’s journey. Under Mert’s leadership, Pitcher is now deployed in Fortune 500 companies across the globe in the Life Sciences, Financial Services, Consumer Goods, and Manufacturing industries, and continues to modernize the sales process through digital innovation. Mert had previously founded Vayen Solutions and held positions at Digading and Swisscom after starting his career as an intern at Apple. Mert studied an MSc in Computational Neuroscience & Neuromorphic Engineering from the University of Zurich and holds a BSc in Computer Engineering from Istanbul Technical University.
Arik is responsible for developing and executing the global sales and expansion strategy of the Pitcher Super App. Having joined Pitcher over a decade ago as one of its earliest employees, Arik has a passion for, and proven skill in, leveraging digital innovation to drive commercial excellence. Arik is a seasoned entrepreneur, having founded several technology ventures over the last 15 years. Building on a career steeped in sales success and committed to ensuring his team delivers customer value through unparalleled engagement, Arik leads sales and growth teams across the North American, EMEA, APAC, and LATAM regions. Arik has a BA in Economics from the University of Zurich with a major in Banking and Finance and a minor in Neuroinformatics.
Christoph is responsible for global financial services and administration for Pitcher. A seasoned global executive, Christoph brings a passion for excellence and execution, building on over 25 years of experience with international start-ups in SaaS industries and fast-growth environments. Christoph has served as CFO at a number of companies, including video platform Viewster and media tech platform Video Intelligence, as well as the travel booking site GetYourGuide and electronic music platform Beatport. He also held executive finance positions at the Ministry of Sound and Bertelsmann Music Group. Christoph holds an MBA in Strategic Management from Imperial College Business School and a BA in French and Management from the University of Reading.
Bringing more than 16 years of experience in talent management, developing, nurturing, and leading dynamic teams in hyper-scaling enterprise environments, Andrea leads Pitcher’s global People team. She is responsible for driving talent acquisition and development efforts and creating infrastructure to support and grow team learning, motivation, productivity, and overall well-being. Andrea joined after serving as a strategic human resources partner as a Quadrotech, where she built an entire HR department by focusing on tech-centricity, talent acquisition, and retention as fundamental drivers. Andrea earned her BSc in International Hospitality and Tourism Management from the University of Surrey.
Ole leads Pitcher’s global marketing, including positioning and go-to-market strategy for the Pitcher Super App. With over 20 years of building marketing programs for B2B software companies, Ole brings deep domain expertise in driving brand awareness and establishing category leadership among enterprise customers. Ole has held various marketing leadership roles within Cisco Systems and Oracle, where he created and led the customer advocacy program for SMB EMEA customers. Ole holds a BA from Bournemouth University and studied at CIM for a PG in International Marketing Strategy.
